Provenance
The claimant's grandparents lived at Hornschuckpromenade 7 in Fürth, Germany. Shortly after the family business had been Aryanized, the grandfather was forced to sell his extensive art collection at the Lepke auction house, Berlin on November 22, 1938, lot 129, after which he fled with his family to the USA. Whereabouts unknown.
