Description

large woolen knotted carpet, on a dark blue ground red medallions and light blue stars in repeat, the ground patterned with a plain yellow tendril, red border with gabled arabesque tendril (description see catalogue Graupe, 1935, lot 684)

1932 to 1934 exhibited on loan in the Islamic Art Department of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum Berlin
