Description

Typical contemporary rococo objects from the second half of the 18th century. Pillar tables, curved carved frame with marble top. The two legs, each consisting of two C-shaped curves running in opposite directions, end in a counter-swing on small ball feet, connected by a sloping, rocaille-crowned bar. The legs merge into the curved frame without a step, with a rocaille cartouche at the joint and similarly in the centre of the frame, framed by curved, polished panels.

Provenance
Listed in the inventory of 1769; relocated to the Great Dining Hall of the east wing of Dresden Castle in 1874; in accordance with the settlement agreement of 1924, they fell to the Free State of Saxony. The console tables were transported from the Dresden Castle to the relocation site at Zottewitz Castle; Circumstances of loss unknown. A loss in connection with the events of the Second World War is assumed.
