Description
According to the style, the mirror is typical of the second half of the 18th century.
Exact dimensions unknown. A similar trumeau on the wall, consisting of 6 pieces [mirror glass], 4 cubits 9 inches high, 1 cubit 23 inches wide.
Provenance
In the Royal Bedroom (also ‘Queen Amalie's bathroom’ - Room 511); In accordance with the 1924 settlement agreement, the mirror fell to the Free State of Saxony; In 1944, mirrors and mirror parts and wall mirrors were removed from the Dresden Castle to a relocation site (Rammenau or Schleinitz Castle); Circumstances of loss unknown. A loss in connection with the events of the Second World War is assumed.
