Description
An elaborately decorated silver gueridon (representative mobile stand) from a former pair of gueridons and contains several decorative elements. In the center a large goblet- shaped decorative element. The decorated plate located at the top.
Provenance
Purchased before 1705, the gueridon was placed in the tower room of the Dresden Castle. As part of the 1924 settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal family, the gueridon was transferred to the Free State of Saxony as room inventory. As only a few transport lists have remained, it is difficult to say exactly where they were removed. The gueridon was presumably removed during the war in August 1943 and brought to Rammenau Castle. The further whereabouts of the gueridon is unknown. A loss in connection with the events of the Second World War is assumed.
