Description
Square, bordered sampler. Four alphabets followed by crown motifs at the top. In the centre a laurel wreath with the initials and date "HAG / ANNO / 1825". Similarly again on the outer left and right. Numerous biblical and floral motifs.
Sampler 1825. ABC sequences on top. Below between crossed palm branches HAG, PI IO, 1825. Lamb of God with flag, above a man with whip (?). Below left Adam and Eve with snake, Joshua and Caleb etc.
Provenance
Formerly Uckermark Museum, Prenzlau. Presumably lost during the war in 1945.
