Description
Her head tilted slightly to the left, her eyes turned skyward. She is dressed in a yellow robe. Her brown hair is loose, falling over her bare right shoulder and chest; her left shoulder is covered with a yellow robe. Her right arm is raised and bent at the chest, her right hand pointing to an open book and skull in front of her. Behind her, to the right, is a rugged mountain wall, to the left a clear sky. Very likely a copy, although the gallery gave it a very high estimate; post-war experts all indicated workshop El Greco. Unsigned
