Signed: „AVE“; rocky landscape by the sea (probably Norwegian) under heavy cloud; on the right bank, there is a small town, in the foreground, there are two islands with a chapel and a hut.
Provenance
From the collection of duke Ernest II of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (cf. 1826 inventory). [...]. 1935 in the reorganized exhibition (file 3405); 1943 still present in the museum (catalog 1943, p. 111); since then whereabouts unknown.
