Description
The saviour is clothed in a red robe and a blue cloak, the woman in a blue-and-white dress and a yellow cloak; on the left, the disciples arrive from the city; in the background, there is a rich landscape with towers, domes, bridge, forest and mountain.
Provenance
From the collection of duke Ernest II of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (cf. 1826 inventory). In 1943 still present in the library of Friedenstein Palace (catalog 1943, p. 409); since then whereabouts unknown.
