Description

Slight curved body. Cut flags and trophies on the foot and the lid; on the body the grat Saxon coat of arms with the inscription: Supra fidem maiorum. Early 18th century.

Provenance

Until May 1945, the object was located in the Dresden City Hall (seat of the Dresden City Museum). It was stored there together with the other handicraft exhibits of the museum - packed in boxes - in the cellar. Lost since the end of the war.
