Description
The god of death is amiably depicted as a winged angel. His attributes, such as his metal hanging, are missing. A split-off part of the lower back as well as the type of section prove that this half-figure was inserted into a shrine. The attachment of the wings is unusual.

Acquired by Ginsberg in 1909 from the firm Pergamenter, Berlin ; 1909 - 1942 Ostasiatica Collection Herbert Ginsberg, Berlin; in 1942 large parts of the Ginsberg collection were confiscated in Rotterdam by the Sicherheitsdienst (SD); whereabouts unknown
