Half-length figure of an elderly woman in a dark gown with a tulle bonnet and lace collar, depicted from the left. Signature at bottom right not clearly legible: ‘Kreyher d. 4.4.57’, possibly Otto Kreyher (1836-1905).
Provenance
Formerly the Guben City Museum. Parts of the collection were apparently evacuated to Kossar (today: Kosierz) in 1942/43. The part of the collection that remained in Guben is said to have been looted between 1945 and 1948 and has been considered lost ever since.
