Description
Es handelt sich um die Kopie des Rektoratsmantels, die circa 100 Jahre alt ist und an Stelle des Originals getragen werden kann. Das Original ist ein spanischer Radmantel mit kostbarer Metallstickerei aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.
Provenance
Prior to 1945, the University of Greifswald relocated various artefacts to Luebeck. From there, the artefacts ended up in the Celle Castle art storage facility, which held artefacts from the East in trust. Archives, books and rectorate paraphernalia were returned to the university, the paintings are considered lost, the coat was burnt in Luebeck.
