Venetian mirror with finely crafted royal coat of arms crown

Provenance
1715 initially delivered from Berlin to Warsaw, 1719 brought to Dresden Castle; 1719 until the war-related extension in 1944 in the Royal State Apartments of the audience chamber (also ‘Old Throne Room’ or ‘Throne Room of Augustus the Strong’ - Room 510); in accordance with the 1924 settlement agreement, the mirrors were transferred to the Free State of Saxony; in 1944 mirrors and mirror parts and wall mirrors were removed from the Dresden Castle to a relocation site (Rammenau or Schleinitz Castle); The mirror frame and the mirror top with monogram are still preserved. However, nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss of the substructure of the trophy top, including the complete set of 16 individual pieces of cut glass from the trophy top after the end of the war and the post-war period. A loss in connection with the events of the Second World War is assumed.
