so-called "bibliothèque en armoire", Louis XIV, ebony with tortoiseshell and brass inlays; half-arched cornice, on each of the two wing doors two rectangular panels with rich and elegant foliage and ribbon work and gilded allegorical relief figures, the sides analogous, interrupted in the middle by a large female mask in cartouche. Work by Charles-André Boulle (1642—1736)
