Description
To the left of Joseph, who is standing, sits Mary with the child, with a king kneeling at her side; the other two figures are standing on the right, the Moor holding a vessel wrapped in a cloth. Minor additions, the child's right arm is broken off. Illustration from auction catalogue, plate 38.

Exhibited in Berlin in 1898, Renaissance exhibition, and in 1904, German and Dutch wood carvings in private ownership in Berlin, catalogue no. 101, plate 48; 1924 Kunsthaus A. S. Drey; Auction Paul Graupe, Berlin, on 17/18 June 1936 under no. 125, plate 38; acquired there by Julius Böhler for Rica Duensing, Hamburg/Boizenburg/Garmisch-Partenkirchen; whereabouts unknown
