Actor Matsumoto (Pinie) Hachizo stands in the role of a samurai. One sword is in his belt, the other he holds up with his outstretched left arm. Indicated interior with paper windows. Reference to a name ‘Pinie’ in the pattern of the robe and in the decoration under the window. Signed with the vase signet in archaic script: Hayashi = forest. Hosoye (narrow picture, upright format)
