Library material, book (Low German Department of the University Library Greifswald)

The approximately 23,000 books of the Greifswald University Library were transported to Pansin Castle in 1943 in two transports (a total of 120 boxes). Lists exist only for about 18,000 books. Probably Pansin Castle (branch of the Woj. Archives) according to a letter dated May 15, 1991. After 1945, the collections of the University of Greifswald were transferred to the library of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Thorún. There are currently 10 incunabula there, approximately printed editions from the 16th century, an unspecified number of printed editions from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries as well as cartographic collections.
