Description
3272 handwritten books. The department is divided into eight content groups of handwritten books: 1) chronicles, religious and legal books (14 items, from No. 1-17); 2) copies (37 items, from No. 18-63); 3) court books (75 items, from No. 64-151); 4) tax books (755 items, from No. 152-944); 5) administrative books (550 items, from No. 945-1788); 6) Building registers, etc. (307 items, from No. 1789-2105; 7) Invoices (829 items, from No. 2106-2935); 8) Ecclesiastical administration, etc. (524 items, from No. 2936-3660)
History
Probably part of the holdings that remained in the archives' magazines and were presumably burned here when the castle was destroyed; individual items may have belonged to the selection of archival materials stored in 9 (or 11?) boxes, which were deposited in the castle cellar around mid-1944; in the spring of 1945, part of this collection was looted, and some boxes may also have been taken away by American troops.
