Description
Currently undefinable artworks from Hugo Simon's collection. These include an English colour lithograph, a chalk drawing, a pastel by Paul Klee, graphic work(s) by Paul Adolf Seehaus, a painting (?) by (Ferdinand?) Springer, two statues, a painting (?) by Maurice de Vlaminck, a wood engraving by Joseph Weidner, a drawing by Hans Meid (no later than 1937), five copperplates by Bruno Krommer, two small bronzes by Aristide Maillol (before 1934), 22 lithographs by Honoré Daumier and four drawings under glass.
History
The following provenance is known for most of the artworks: n.d. Hugo Simon (1880-1950) - a loss as a result of Nazi persecution cannot be ruled out; whereabouts unknown.
