Glass with coloured painting: Front: festively dressed wedding couple, under a tulip as a symbol of love is the year 1801.
Back: Inscription: "Es lebe Caspar Henderich Höffinghoff. Gott im Herzen, die Liebste im Arm, vertreibt viel Schmerzen und hält fein warm. Proost mein Schatz"
Provenance
Probably made in 1801 in the glassworks of the Toscana family in Hörde. Subsequently owned by Caspar Heinrich Höffinghoff (1773-1831) from Haspe, married to Regina Katharina Elisabeth Vernoh (1776-1862) from Wehringhausen. Subsequently owned until 1939 by Cläre Mayerbach (1878-1943), widow of Erwin Bachrach (1867-1934), operator of a glass and porcelain business.
