Description
Torah curtain made of green-blue velvet with rich gold embroidery and a frame of ribbons entwined with oak leaves running around three sides. Above a medallion in the centre is a crown flanked by the Hebrew letters ת and כ.
The medallion contains a Hebrew quotation from the Second Book of Moses ("Six days thou shalt labour and do all thy work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath unto the Lord thy God"). The Hebrew donor's inscription below indicates that the curtain was donated by the "righteous women of the Holy Congregation of Olomouc".
