The picture shows a standing woman dressed in a long robe and a coat. The left arm is angled and is lifted into the hip. The coat covers head and shoulder. The woman carries a basket on her head, which she holds with her right hand.

Purchase of the antique collection SMB 1944 from Obermaat Henneke. Allegedly "bought from Italian art dealers in Kos".
