Description
Edge embossed with floral and ribbon ornamentation, finished with egg-and-dart moulding on the inside. Slightly recessed, flat shape. In the centre, inscribed within a circle of small ornaments, an engraved eight-pointed star. The entire round surface of the plate is decorated with concentric animals, a hunter, Lady Justice, and Hebrew inscriptions (פסח, מרור, ביצה). Engraved in the outer circle in a heart-shaped border: I. H. B. * L. B. 1812. Engraved to the left of this: VIVAT. - Pewter mark on the reverse: ENG BLOC angel; hallmarked [U]; sticker with inventory number of the museum and Kösters Kunstkammer.
