Back of the left front pillar of the bench (seen from the front) octagonal label with blue border: 8th [or] 9th [or] 19[...]8th [and] 19[...]9 [possibly 1928 and 1929?] [or] P. [and] J. [hs]; on the left side of the base octagonal label with double blue border: 148 [hs]; on the right front side of the base torn off label: 41 [or] 47 [ms]

The provenance between 1933 and 1945 has not been clearly clarified or has gaps. No evidence of Nazi-looted art has emerged from the available research.
