Description
The pear-shaped jug with a low-set, curved spout has a narrow profiled ring at the neck. The otherwise smooth-walled body is supported by a round foot that is recessed above the stand ring. The domed lid, crowned by a baluster knob, is attached to the top of the canted ear handle with a hinge. The simple thumb catch is also located on the hinge.
The jug is made entirely of silver and was originally completely gilded inside and out.
