Confiscation of the autograph collection by the Gestapo from the property of the widow Ida Kiewy after her deportation to Theresienstadt on 19 July 1942; purchase by the Library of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg from the Hamburg Chief Finance President on 24 October 1942. 1942; due to the war, the collection was relocated to Lauenstein Castle, Saxony, in April 1943; after the end of the war in 1945, it was taken from there to the Soviet Union; in May 1998, the Library of the Armenian Academy of Sciences returned the part of the autograph collection still existing in Yerevan/Armenia to the SUB Hamburg; June 2025 restitution to the community of heirs of Ida Kiewy
