History of loss: On October 1, all firearms, edged weapons, and stabbing weapons are handed over to the Soviet command (155 exhibits). This is based on Directive No. 30 of the Allied Control Council of May 13, 1946, which orders the „Beseitigung deutscher Denkmäler und Museen militärischen und nationalsozialistischen Charakters“. For the same reason, parts of the museum library are “ausgemerzt.” According to the loss report, objects from the local history museum were transferred to the German Museum of History, Militaria Department, in 1946 on the basis of Allied Control Council Law No. 30 of May 13, 1946.
