Description
Embroidered leather belt with brass buckle. Silver embroidery with plant motifs, the Christ monogram “IHS” and the date “18/12.” Inscription on the back: „Diesen Gürtel hat Riegl der Adjutant des unglücklichen Hoffert im Tyroler befreyung Kriege getragen“.
Provenance
Formerly Museum Neuruppin, former Zieten Collection (entry number: 1080). During the Second World War, parts of the collection were moved to locations including the Neuruppin District Office and have been considered lost since the end of the war.
