Anna Adelheid Katharine von der Schulenburg, geb. von Bartensleben-Wolfsburg (* 1699, † 1756)
Half-length portrait of a lady, seen frontally, in a richly embroidered rococo dress, over which is a velvet cloak, opening puffily at her left forearm like a sleeve; her hair combed back from the crown, with a curl falling over her left shoulder. "In the picture she is looking forward at the viewer, her head turned very slightly to the left. The delicate face shows very expressive large eyes. Anna Adelheid Katharine is wearing a very beautifully designed dress, which is made of silk. You can see floral and fantasy ornaments on an orange background on the dress. The ornaments are in red, green, red-brown and silver colours. The large neckline is trimmed with lace. She wears a velvet cape, the outside of which is reddish brown and the inside blue." (Hammerschmidt 2001).
This is supposedly an exact copy of the original painting by Antoine Pesne contained in the collection of the Counts of Schulenburg-Wolfsburg (Hammerschmidt 2001 under Ifd. No. 06.030).
