Drawing with black chalk on stone (edition of 100 copies / of which 01 - 60 in black and 61 - 100 coloured); monogram on the plate at the bottom left: P.P. (Petit Pierre = Small Stone = Steinlen); coloured version of this lithograph was also used as title page of the magazine "Le Chambard Socialiste" No. 3 of 30.12.1894

"Zwei Polizisten stehen stramm und salutieren, als ein dicker Unternehmer vorbeirauscht. Der Anzug kneift über dem Bauch, der schwere Pelzmantel und der Zylinder strahlen Autorität aus: eine solche Person kann auch 100 Millionen rauben, ohne ins Gefängnis zu kommen." (UW)

Sämtlich nummeriert (Auflage je 100 bis auf C. 206 und 213 [Auflage je 50]. C. 206 und 213 handsigniert"; purchased at the auction by the book and art antiquarian Herbert Buber, Schwertfegerstraße 10, Potsdam for 10,- RM at the estimate of 50,- RM (according to the protocol volume of the auction with names of buyers and prices); whereabouts unknown
