Description
On a tree trunk, leaning the right on a large stone, sits a hunter, blowing the hunting horn. In front of him a dead cock, a field chicken, a duck, a snipe and other poultry. On the left a dog standing, one lying, left front a small body of water.
Provenance
The paintings of the Bückeburg Gallery were lost during the occupation from 1945 to 1951 (see also: Verlorene Werke der Malerei, 1965, pages 78-79.)
