Description
Surtout with wide, rectangular cut, possibly torn fabric and a narrow waistband. Folded and unlined. The skirt has two pouch pockets worked into the sides and a front slit reaching up to the waistband. The white surface of the skirt, last described as cream, is embroidered with a colourful, gold-saturated tendril and flower ornament except for a stripe at the top edge. The ornament runs along the edge in strips of varying widths, some of which are repeated, parallel to the hem of the skirt and the front slit. It is enriched by the different, antique female figure inserted into the right-angled gussets.
