Description
Two GOOD ALBARELLOS, one with a bust portrait of a boy in green tunic with orange collar, the other with a figure of a lion holding an orange ball in his paw with landscape background, the reverse with dark blue leaf motifs, inscribed below in blue on a white label with the names of the drugs, dia ? olibanuz and Loch ? sanum, Deruta, circa 1520
Provenance

Munich, loss 1938;

The collection (approx. 440 works) was confiscated by the SS in Munich in 1938 on the occasion of the ‘Reichskristallnacht’ and auctioned at Sotheby's in London in 1939 (7/8 June and 19/20 July).
