A RICHLY COLOURED LARGE JUG with pear-shaped body, pinched lip spout and bold ribbed strap handle decorated in green and terminating in two yellow cornucopiae, above the mark SP with a paraph across the base, the front of the jug with the Sacred Monogram in grisaille on a rich blue ground within a green wreath with orange border, the sides and base with grotesche motifs in grisaille and colours on a brilliant blue ground, possibly Caffaggiolo, circa 1525
