Panel painting: Picture: French garden, baroque garden, geometric garden & statues, sculptures in a garden & sculpture, reproduction of a sculpture : fountain in a garden : triumph of Neptune and Amphritites; with an entourage of Tritons and Nereids (wedding procession) & watercourse & garden pond & waterfowl: swan & autumn landscape; landscape symbolising autumn (in the division of the year into four seasons).
Provenance
Purchased from the Berlin Academy Exhibition in 1886. Old loan from the People's Court in Berlin, presumably burnt there during the air raid in November 1943.
