Description
Case painted in multicoloured enamels: an amorous couple on the face, Bacchus and Ceres on the underside, and landscape depictions on the inside and sides; case signed: "Huaut le puis né p. d. A. à Berlin", clockwork signed: "Henry Arlaud".
Provenance
According to the 1858 inventory, the watch used to belong to duke Ernest II. (?) of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, previously from the estate of duke August of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.
