Description
Straight-sided bowl shape with wide and plain slanting rim; opulent gilt painting in the Empire style: large, eight-rayed star made from foliage and ears of corn on the well; rim with double gilt edge; "Gotha" mark (overglaze red).
Provenance
Purchased in October 1910 from the "Salon Hermes", Hamburg, Neuer Jungfernst. 6, for the sum of 125 marks (for 6 pieces).
