Description
Signed lower left: Ch. Kröner. Düss. 87. Autumnally coloured woods cover the mountain slopes. In front right a brook, from which a mighty stag emerges. It steams and its breath is visible. To the left of him the deer cows are grazing. Others wildly further left in the sunny rising valley. Soft cloudy sky.

1888 from the interest of the Pröll-Heuer Foundation from the Academy exhibition; 1938 in the Jägerhof at Grillenburg.
