Description
Workshop in Nuremberg. Round, slightly recessed shape. On the 4 cm wide rim, four transverse oval medallions with scenes from Genesis: Adam and Eve under the tree; God pointing out the tree of knowledge to Adam and Eve; the creation of Eve; expulsion from paradise. Between each medallion is a vase with vines and flowers. Round medallion in the centre. Depiction: Noah offering a sacrifice after the Flood. In the background, the Ark and a rainbow. Below the depiction: NOE + GIENG + AVS */DER + ARCH + GETRA + OPFERD/16. GOTT.; In the field depicting the creation of Eve, the master's mark of Paulus Öham the Elder, in which the mark of Hans Spatz II is stamped; sticker from Hülsmann with attribution and literature.
