Description
Portrait of a young woman.
Half-length portrait of a lady with brown hair parted in the centre and styled in snails over her ears. She is holding her head to her left and is wearing a brownish (dark grey-pink) silk dress with an open neck and a narrow lace collar. Her right hand is placed on her breast. Slate grey ground. Inscribed left below along the edge: CANON 1857. Frame in brown and gold. (according to inv.)
