Description
Landscape depiction, in the foreground rocks with sparse flora, some bushes, behind trees and meadows on the (lake) shore, flat headland / bay with architecture on it, small settlement, several houses and a barn, a boat on the shore, opposite more houses, mountains on the horizon, seagulls in the sky, in front of the mountains / cliffs?, at the bottom right we find a group of people standing on the precipice and looking at the water

Probably by March 1866 at the latest, Gérard Leembruggen Collection; possibly part of the auction of the Dr M. Waldeck Collection; auction at Amsler & Ruthard on 14 February 1887 and the following days, sale to Pot; auction at Rudolph Lepkes Auctions, Berlin, on 14. March 1905, sold to "Greve"; probably during the war, at the latest from 9 July 1945 until today Lippische Landesbibliothek Detmold, initially handed over in trust by the British Military Government Detmold, since 20 July 1945 officially handed over for safekeeping.
