According to Detlev Herbst, regional historian, Volpriehausen, the book was acquired by himself in an antiquarian bookshop, possibly in Israel, as he speculated from his memory. However, the handwritten price of "50 DM" in pencil speaks for an acquisition in the German trade or at least for a station of the book in the German trade. Detlev Herbst could not remember exactly when and where the book was purchased and later handed over to the museum. No further information could be found on the handwritten ownership note "Bela Kastner, Bratislava".
