Purchased in December 1940 from the art dealer Eduard Plietzsch in Berlin. It comes from the collection of Henry F. Weyers (Weiyers) in Tilburg (Netherlands), who previously bought it from the dealer Henri Simon de Haan (Amsterdam and The Hague).
Research has shown that this object was imported from the Netherlands by Eduard Plietzsch after the occupation.
