Description

Findings: On the outside of the edge: Master's mark 'ILA in transverse oval', for Johann Leonhard Allmann (master 1733, died 1775); Hallmark 'Pyr over G in high oval', for Augsburg, 1745-1747. On the underside of the foot: on the remains of a glued-on rectangular piece of paper with a triple blue frame "[1849]" = Number of the purchase office of the Munich Municipal Library ("Sale of Art and Rarity to the Bay [erische] National Museum Munich, from the collection of Jewish silver articles dated 23.05.1940, BNM Doc. 200: see BNM Inv. 1940 Ankauf durch das Bayerische Nationalmuseum vom Städtischen Leihamt München. 1961 Abgabe vom Bayerischen Nationalmuseum an die Finanzmittelstelle München des Landes Bayern (als Vertretung des Landes Bayern in Rückerstattungssachen) zur Restitution an anspruchsberechtigte Personen. 1969 Rückgabe an das Bayerische Nationalmuseum durch die Bezirksfinanzdirektion München, da keine anspruchsberechtigte(n) Person(en) ermittelt bzw. keine Ansprüche geltend gemacht werden konnte(n). 1969 nicht neu inventarisiert: 40/58.

Provenienzforschung: 1939 von Rosa Peretz, geb. Freudenthal (1870 Würzburg - 1940 München), als Zwangsablieferung von Edelmetall (Silber) gemäß der "Dritten Anordnung auf Grund der Verordnung über die Anmeldung des Vermögens von Juden" vom 21.02.1939 - zusammen mit BNM Inv.-Nr. 64/40 - an das Städtische Leihamt München: A[nkaufs]V[erzeichnis] 2019 = Nr. 1849 der Ankaufsstelle des Städtischen Leihamts München ("Verkauf von Kunst- und Seltenheitswerten an das Bay[erische] Nationalmuseum München, aus dem Bestand von j[üdischen] Silber-Gegenständen", vom 23.05.1940; BNM-Dok. 200). 1940 Ankauf durch das Bayerische Nationalmuseum vom Städtischen Leihamt München (Silberverwertungsstelle: AV 2019/Nr. 1849) für RM 23,00.- (Silber: 115,0 g).
