Description
Narrow, elongated white porcelain pipe bowl with gold-colored cord knob and thread-like grooves at the bottom; pictorial motif: a grenadier with a rifle under his arm and a civilian who shake hands, including masons' tools, two flags above (red-white-black and red-yellow) and text: Willkommen lieber Onkel!" Name under the representation: Carl Sinner on the back more pictorial representation: both men sitting at a table and prostrating, text about it: "Prosit lieber Onkel", including: "Andenken v. m. Neffen Musk. Sinner 8. Comp. 5. Bad. Inf. Reg. N. 11 Freiburg i/B. 1886".
Provenance
Purchased on 16.08.1935 by the Kunst- und Altertumsverein e.V., Tübingen for 2 RM, previous owner unknown. In 1941 with the dissolution of the association passed into the possession of the Municipal Collection.
