Jewish Museum Vienna

The Jüdische Museum Wien (Jewish Museum Vienna) conducts provenance research in all parts of the collection. The research results on the IKG collection are forwarded to the Jewish Community Vienna, which then contacts any existing heirs and decides on restitution by board resolution. The research results on all other parts of the collection are submitted to the Vienna Restitution Commission, whose basis is the Vienna Gemeinderatsbeschluss (City Council resolution) of 29 April 1999.
