Signed lower right: "Adolf Hering", on the front the picture is damaged by an swastika which is incised in the stepp, back: below on the stretcher stamp "124" (frame size), on the bar left label BStGS "Inv. 11937", about it "PR" (Photo Roth), on top of the frame to the left in blue "U X R", the following number is not readable (location Meiserstr.) as covered by a red note rest under a nail, top center in pencil "Lotzbeck 26", top right yellow note with jagged edge on it handwritten "Ölgemälde 277" on the left side about it in Blue "32065" (Munich number) below in red and upside down "Lotzbeck". A Disposed sticker reverse bears the inscription: "Ort dieser Handlung ist Königsberg Pr.? am Bergplatz (jetzt schiefer Berg) ... vor der Burgkirche. / Gemalt von dem bereits verstorbenen berühmten Maler vieler historischer Gemälde - Adlof Hering"
